Stack Of Super Market Pizza Boxes

We searched all the major supermarkets and found all the stuffed crust pizza’s available to buy to find out which is the best. The criteria was that the pizza had to be cheese based across the board to not let any extra toppings sway the vote. We split the tests by tasting the pizza itself then the stuffed crust separately. All the pizza’s were cooked in a fan assisted oven according to the instructions specified on their respective packaging. These are listed in the random order we taste tested:

Iceland Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza 453g

Iceland Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza Cooked with packaging

Cooked from: Frozen

Pizza cheese was stringy which I loved although my partner was not overly fond off, nice texture to the pizza too. Cannot taste the tomato at all but slightly more of herbs which looks to of been added over the cheese.

Stuffed crust also had nice texture but no extra flavour.

Sainsbury’s Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza 600g

Sainsbury's Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Cooked with packaging

Cooked from: Chilled

Tasted the tomato base a lot, with a fresh tomatoey taste. The flavours of the cheese was not prominent and the pizza as a whole had a nice soft but chewy texture. I liked but my partner only thought the texture was ok.

The stuff crust tasted very good with good garlicy flavour. We finished our slice and ate more.

Morrisons Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza 450g

Morrisons Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza Cooked with packaging

Cooked from: Chilled

Very fresh tomatoey taste with a softer texture very liked by my partner. This was her favourite textured pizza. I agreed it did have a softer texture (than morrisons), but I prefer more chewy.

The stuffed crust tasted like carboard and that was not tasty. We only took one bite of the stuffed crust and threw it away. We had more of the Sainsbury pizza to take taste of Morrison’s crust out. My partner did return to eat more of the pizza itself though avoiding the crust.

Aldi Carlos Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast 670g

Aldi Carlos Stuffed Crust Loaded Cheese Pizza Cooked with packaging

Cooked from: Frozen

Nice texture and had a different type of texture compared to all other pizzas on this list. Texture was light and crispy. Reminded me of a pizza not on this list called Chicago town pizza with the fresh dough. It did not have a good taste of tomato, tasted more artificial to us.  This pizza also had the longest cooking time of about 20 minutes.

Stuffed crust was creamy with light crispy surrounding, no added extra flavour though.

*Disclaimer* Aldi website lists this Pizza as £3.69 but I did not buy it at this price, also I picked it up from the freezer in Aldi but the website states this item is not suitable for the freezer. So, something fishy was going on in the branch I visited, the scores below may not be 100% fair for this one.

ASDA Takeaway Cheese Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza 445g

Asda Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza Cooked with packaging

Cooked from: Frozen

Pizza had strong more tangy tomato taste and thicker pizza base. I found the texture to be ok, bit thicker than the others. My partner found it to be sloppier due to the thickness and the amount of tomato base. The pizza also had slightly different flavours from the different cheeses.

The crust was creamy and thick but no extra flavour you can taste

Pizza had one of the most flavour of all with the tomato base having more flavour of herbs. Texture was ok and thinner than Asda version.

The crust was creamy and thick tasted very similar to Asda but no extra flavour you can taste

Final Verdict:

Sainsbury’s Stuffed Crust Cheese Feast Pizza 600g is the winner 🏆. The extra flavour in the crust with the fresh tomato taste pizza was the overall winner. Could have had a little bit more taste to the pizza itself but just add some parmesan and chilli oil on top and then perfecto. I read the recipe for this pizza has changed frequently so get yours now whilst it is TASTY.
