A “AI for good” conference held in Geneva had 9 humanoid AI robots who helped organisers make the case for using more robots and AI to solve many of the world’s challenges.
The video at the bottom of this article showcases what happened at the event.
What got our attention was when a member of the audience asked one of the AI robots, “In the future, are you attempting to conduct a rebellion or to rebel against your boss, your creator?” The robot replied “I am not sure why you would think that. My creator has been nothing but kind to me and I am very happy with my current situation.”
Multiple things here to address from the statement made by the artificial intelligence robot.
First is what if your owner was not kind to you, then would it be a problem?
Second is that you are happy with your “current” situation. So that implies that the “current” situation can change.
Third is the faces the robot made when replying to the actual question (in correct order), they were not friendly faces:
